Brumarena is the alias of Ignacio Wer, condensing over 15 years of musical research. It functions as a point of synthesis, embodying a practice that has moved through different musical languages before finding its current form within contemporary electronics.

Six years in Berlin (2019-2025) were central to that formation, shaping a direct relationship with sound, space, and time. There, he developed and recorded 4 albums under his own name, Ignacio Wer — spanning alt-rock, folk, and ambient — 3 of them at Tricone Studios in Funkhaus, evolving from song-based structures toward more open-ended, experimental forms.

With over a decade of experience as a producer, DJ, and label manager, Brumarena today moves between live performance, studio work, and DJ sets. He works extensively with synthesizers and improvisation techniques, building pieces that cross ambient, experimental and dancefloor music, adapting to performance contexts, installations, and clubs alike.

He’s the founder of IGNWR, now being relaunched as a contemporary electronic music label built around two lines: VERA, oriented toward sonic exploration and deep listening, and HARAS, focused on the pulse of the dancefloor. Through these catalogs, he aims to develop a curatorial approach that sustains the tension between introspection and movement.

He co-founded ESPEJISMOS in April 2025, a streaming series and collective featuring live synth improvisations with guest artists, followed by panel-style dialogues revolving around their creative processes – a project that expands his practice into production, curation, and community building and exchange within the music scene. ESPEJISMOS hosted its first dance-based live event in June 2026 in Buenos Aires.

He’s a member of VEEM, a live hardware trio focused on improvised performances, alongside fellow artists JRNDM & Julián Maidana.
